eventcloud vs ticket tailor

A Box Office Is Not An Event Platform.

Ticket Tailor sells tickets and does it politely. But conferences need session tickets, seat holds, badge printing, per-ticket registration forms and white-label branding, and that is where the box office ends and the add-on menu begins. Here is the full feature picture.

TL;DR

The Thirty-second Version

One of us is a box office. The other one runs the whole event.

Choose eventcloud if...

  • You run events, not just ticket sales: session tickets, seat holds, badge printing on any printer you own, QR check-in with staff PINs.
  • You want different questions per ticket type. Speakers, sponsors, VIPs and attendees each get their own registration form.
  • You want white-label and your own domain included, not metered out as monthly add-ons.
  • Your success should not be a billing event. Unlimited tickets and registrations are the standard, so a sell-out costs the same as a quiet Tuesday.
  • You budget in one line item, with no usage meters, credit top-ups or add-on subscriptions to monitor.

In fairness to Ticket Tailor...

  • Small, simple events are well served. A few hundred tickets, no badges, no sessions? A box office is all you need, and theirs is a polite one.
  • Their payout model is the correct design. Revenue goes straight to your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account, same as ours. Neither of us holds your money.
  • The B Corp credentials are real, and free events under 5,000 tickets a year cost nothing.
  • But it ends at the box office. Sessions, seat holds, badge printing and full white-label live outside the toolkit, or on the add-on menu.

The growth penalty

What Do Your Next 1,000 Tickets Cost?

On a usage-metered platform, every ticket sold is a billing event. On eventcloud, unlimited is the standard.

On eventcloud
$0 extra

Sell ten tickets or ten thousand; the subscription does not move. Growth is the point, not a penalty.

On Ticket Tailor
£220 to £600

Every additional 1,000 tickets is another £220 prepaid or £600 pay-as-you-sell, before add-ons.

Both platforms publish their numbers; run your own. Ours stop moving the day you subscribe, which is the entire idea. Their white-label (£39/month), custom domain (£7/month) and CRM integrations bill separately per their own help centre.

Fair questions

Ticket Tailor vs eventcloud FAQs

Is Ticket Tailor cheaper than eventcloud?
For a small event with no conference needs, honestly, often yes: a per-ticket meter suits a few hundred tickets a year, and we are happy to say so. But comparing a meter with an unlimited platform is comparing a taxi fare with owning the car. Their headline rate also excludes white-label (£39/month), a custom domain (£7/month) and paid CRM integrations, so price up the version of Ticket Tailor you would actually run. On eventcloud the subscription is the whole bill, and it does not grow when your event does.
What does Ticket Tailor charge extra for?
Per their own help centre, June 2026: white-label is £39/month ($49), a standalone custom domain is £7/month, and the HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and Constant Contact integrations each carry a monthly fee. Importing tickets costs one usage each, even free ones. Badge printing is not a Ticket Tailor feature at all; their integration partner Fredo quotes from around €6,540 per event. On eventcloud there is no add-on menu to read.
Why pick eventcloud for conferences?
Because ticket sales are the easy bit. Conferences need badge printing (on any printer you own, from thermal to laser), session tickets, seat holds, registration forms per ticket type, white-label on your own domain and 30+ languages. That is our home turf; Ticket Tailor stops at the box office, and charges extra for the bits beyond it.
Does eventcloud offer charity pricing?
Yes: registered charities get eventcloud free for life, for up to 3 users. Not discounted. Free. Ticket Tailor offers a 50% discount on its usage fees; we decided to skip the maths entirely.
Can I switch from Ticket Tailor easily?
Yes. Rebuild your ticket types in an afternoon, import your attendee data (free here; they charge a usage fee per imported ticket), and keep selling. Building on eventcloud is free with no time limit, so the switch costs you nothing until you are ready to go live.
No per-ticket fees, ever
