Design It Like You Mean It

A drag-and-drop designer with the kind of print controls that usually require a phone call to a signage company. Everything you place is positioned to the millimetre, pulls live data from the registration form, and renders identically on screen and on stock.

  • Millimetre-precise sizing. Exact dimensions with bleed and safe areas, so what you design is what comes off the printer. Set up the two industry-standard sizes (4 x 6 inch portrait for conferences and trade shows, 4 x 3 inch landscape for shorter events) or invent your own.
  • Front and back designs. Double-sided layouts with fold lines for folded badge formats. Put the name and QR on the front and the agenda, venue map, Wi-Fi code or sponsor logos on the back. Both sides earn their keep.
  • Data straight from registration. Name, company, job title, pronouns and any custom field flow automatically from the attendee record onto the badge. No mail merge, no copy-paste, no typos at 7am.
  • Per-group assignment. VIPs, speakers, exhibitors and staff each get their own template automatically, so a thousand badges print in the right design without anyone sorting a pile.
  • A unique QR on every badge. Each badge carries its own QR code for check-in and session scanning, so the badge is also the ticket, the session pass and the lead-capture token.
  • Print audit log. Every render is recorded: who printed it, for whom, and when. Reprints are a decision, not a mystery.

Choices That Survive the Whole Event

A badge for a two-hour briefing and a badge for a three-day expo are not the same object. eventcloud lets you pick the size, the stock and the moment of printing to match the event, instead of forcing one format on everything.

  • The right stock for the run. Plain paper for short sessions, laminated card for one to three-day conferences, durable PVC for multi-day or outdoor programmes. You buy the stock that fits, because nothing here is locked to a proprietary roll.
  • Print in bulk or on demand. Run badge sheets on an office A4 printer days in advance, or print each badge the moment its owner checks in. Most events do both: pre-print the confirmed list, print walk-ups live.
  • Walk-ups and last-minute changes. Someone registers on the morning, someone spells their name wrong, someone gets promoted between registration and arrival. Edit the record, reprint, done, with no leftover pile of wrong badges.
  • Lanyard-ready by default. Standard sizes drop straight into off-the-shelf lanyards and badge holders, with hole-punch and slot guides in the designer so nothing prints over the bit you need to clip.

Bring Your Own Printer.
Any Printer.

Some platforms lock badge printing to proprietary hardware and proprietary stock, then charge you for both, forever. We print to whatever you plug in. We do not judge.

Epson ColorWorks C3500

On-demand, full-colour badges as attendees walk up. The conference workhorse, and the one most organisers standardise on.

Zebra thermal printers

Built for speed. When the queue is long and the doors just opened, thermal wins. No ink, no drying, just badges.

Your desktop A4 printer

The one already in the office. Print badge sheets in advance, slot them into holders, and save the drama for the after-party.

A plotter, if that is your style

A1 and bigger. We are not sure why your badge is a poster, but we respect it.

One Designer, Every Kind of Event

The same badge engine handles the village AGM and the 5,000-delegate expo. Here is where organisers put it to work.

Trade shows and expos

Free-visitor badges and paid-exhibitor passes in one event, each carrying a QR for stand lead capture and re-entry across the hall.

Corporate summits and VIP events

Premium double-sided cards with the agenda on the back, VIP and board tiers visually distinct, brand-perfect for the people who notice.

Event day

Scan. Print.
Welcome In.

Badge printing lives inside the check-in flow, so walk-ups get a fresh badge in seconds and your front-of-house team never touches a spreadsheet.

  • Print on demand at check-in. Scan the ticket QR with any phone or look the guest up by name, and the badge prints while you say hello. Late registrations and name changes are handled at the door, not the day before.
  • Reprints without drama. Lost badges happen. Coffee happens. Print a replacement in seconds; the audit log keeps the record straight. No special reprint fees, obviously.

Any printer your computer can print to. Organisers use the Epson ColorWorks C3500 for on-demand full colour, Zebra thermal printers for fast queues, ordinary desktop A4 printers for pre-printed sheets, and even wide-format plotters for oversized badges. There is no proprietary hardware and no proprietary badge stock, so you are never locked into one vendor’s rolls.

The two industry standards are 4 x 6 inch (portrait, the default for multi-day conferences and trade shows) and 4 x 3 inch (landscape, common for shorter events). The eventcloud designer works in exact millimetre dimensions, so you can use either standard or set a custom size that fits your lanyards and holders.

It depends on how long the badge has to last. Plain paper is fine for events under a few hours, laminated card is the default for one to three-day conferences, and durable PVC suits multi-day or outdoor programmes. Because eventcloud is not tied to proprietary stock, you choose the material that fits the event and the budget.

Both. Print badge sheets in bulk on an office printer days ahead for your confirmed list, then print walk-ups and last-minute registrations on demand at check-in. Most events combine the two, and the audit log tracks every print either way.

When an attendee arrives, your team scans their ticket QR with any phone or looks them up by name. eventcloud pulls their registration details, applies the badge template for their ticket group, and sends it to your printer, all from inside the check-in flow. Walk-ins and name changes are handled on the spot.

Yes. Every badge carries a unique QR code for check-in and session scanning, and you can add event and sponsor logos, attendee photos, and any registration field. The designer places each element to the millimetre.

Yes. Badges support front and back layouts with fold lines for folded formats. The front usually carries the name, role and QR; the back is prime real estate for the agenda, a venue map, Wi-Fi details, session times or sponsor logos.

No. The badge designer, per-group templates and on-demand printing are included on every eventcloud plan, like every other feature. There are no per-badge fees and no proprietary consumables to buy from us.

Yes. Badge templates are assigned per ticket group, so VIPs, speakers, exhibitors and general attendees each carry their own design and print automatically in the right layout. Still choosing hardware? Read our
