It is planning week for this year's conference and someone asks a simple question: how many people actually attended last year, and which sessions filled up? Cue forty minutes of archaeology. Someone thinks the numbers are in a spreadsheet on a former colleague's drive. Someone else has a version, but it is the pre-refund figure. How to fix it before next year's planning week
