Onsite event badge printing is one of those jobs that looks trivial on the run sheet and then eats your entire morning. You either pre-print a thousand badges and spend the night before alphabetising them into a filing system only you understand, or you print them on demand as people check in and pray the printer behaves. 1. Get the data right before the event

3. Set up more lanes than feels necessary

4. Keep a manual fallback

A printer will jam at the worst possible moment. Have blank badges and a pen at the desk so the line keeps moving while someone clears the jam. Grace beats a frozen queue.
