Fanfold
Fanfold stock is a long strip of badges folded back and forth into a flat stack, with a perforation or a gap between each one. The stack sits behind or under the printer and feeds through as each badge prints, so finished badges lie flat instead of curling like a label off a roll. Thick card badges, often double-sided with lanyard slots, come as fanfold because they cannot bend round a small roll core. Running out mid-rush is how a smooth morning ends, so keep a spare stack at every printer.
UK suppliers write fan-fold and US suppliers fanfold, and both mean the same stock. The other common format is the roll, which suits thinner labels and adhesive badges. Many desktop badge printers take both, but the stock has to match the printer's width and sensor, so order a sample before the main run.
Set the badge in eventcloud to the exact size of your fanfold stock in real millimetres; at the Badge Kiosk, the paper size comes from the printer's own settings.
