Visitors are the people an exhibition exists for: buyers, specifiers and the merely curious who walk the aisles and talk to exhibitors. At trade shows they are mostly business people who register in advance, often free, giving their job title, company and interests so the organiser can show exhibitors that the right people came. That profile is what makes a visitor valuable, which is why a visitor list full of half-finished records makes a weak pitch to next year's exhibitors.

UK and European exhibitions say visitor; US trade shows say attendee for everyone who is not exhibiting. Conferences on both sides use delegate or attendee for the paying audience, and a confex can have visitors and delegates at the same event, so their passes are kept apart.

Visitors get a free ticket group of their own in eventcloud, with its own form and badge template, kept apart from exhibitor staff and paid delegates.
