Walk-ins are the people who decide on the day. They need to register, often pay, and get a badge before they can go in, which takes far longer than checking in someone who registered weeks ago. Put them in the same queue as everyone else and the pre-registered crowd waits behind a stranger spelling out their postcode, so most organisers give walk-ins their own desk or lane, with its own staff and a short form.

Walk-in is common to both markets, and US organisers also say onsite or day-of registration. Shows that charge more at the door use the walk-in rate to push people to register early, while free exhibitions welcome walk-ins and want their details for the visitor list.

Walk-ins can register on their own phone through your eventcloud event page, or your team can add them by hand or send a payment link, and once they hold a ticket the Badge Kiosk prints their badge on the spot.
