Payment Link

Some registrations do not start at the checkout: a VIP whose assistant handles everything by email, a delegate whose company card failed, a colleague added to the list after the deadline. A payment link lets the organiser reserve the place first and send a link that takes the person straight to paying, without making them fill in the whole booking again. The place is held while the link is live, so the organiser is not left wondering whether it has gone to someone else.

Payment links are common outside events too: payment providers such as Stripe offer them for invoices and one-off sales, and some US event platforms call them payment requests or invoice links. In eventcloud the phrase means an organiser-sent link tied to a held place, not a general checkout link anyone can use.

Payment is by card only; the link lasts 72 hours by default, up to 30 days, and you can resend or withdraw it at any time.
