A booth is an exhibitor's home for the length of a trade show: a measured patch of the show floor, sized in square feet, with a booth number on the floor plan and in the show directory. The standard US package is pipe and drape, a frame of metal poles hung with fabric walls, often with a table, chairs and a sign; bigger exhibitors take bare floor space and bring a custom build. Every booth needs staff, and the number of staff badges tends to follow booth size.

Booth is the US word; UK and European organisers say stand, and a pipe-and-drape booth is the US cousin of the UK shell scheme. Booths are also described by how many sides face an aisle: an inline booth has one open side, a corner booth two, a peninsula three and an island booth all four.

Each exhibitor's booth number appears in the exhibitor directory on your eventcloud event website, and booth staff register through a private ticket group that never shows on the public event page.
