Space Only

Space only means the exhibitor rents a marked rectangle of floor and nothing else: no walls, no carpet, no fascia, and often no power until it has been ordered. The exhibitor hires a stand builder to design and build a custom stand, which takes days of build-up and needs drawings approved by the organiser weeks ahead. It is how the big names make their mark on a show floor, and it brings rules on height, structural safety and open sides that a shell scheme never needs.

Space only is the UK phrase; US shows say bare booth or raw space, and the builder is an exhibit house. Many organisers set a minimum size for space-only plots, because a custom build squeezed onto a tiny plot rarely ends well for anyone.

The crew building a space-only stand and the staff running it can sit in different ticket groups in eventcloud, so build-up passes never look like show badges. Coming soon: floor plans and stand sales.
