The stand is where an exhibitor spends the show: a numbered plot on the floor plan, measured in square metres, taken either as a ready-built shell scheme or as space only for a custom build. Stand size and type drive almost everything else the exhibitor orders, from the number of staff badges to power, furniture and cleaning, so organisers usually record those orders against the stand number. Get the stand list wrong and the furniture, the badges and the show directory all go wrong with it.

Stand is the UK and European word, as in stand number, stand staff and stand builder; US shows say booth. The company that designs and builds a custom stand is a stand contractor in the UK and an exhibit house or booth builder in the US, and the open sides of a stand are what make a corner or an island plot sought after.

Stand staff passes in eventcloud get their own ticket group and badge template, and the Booth label in your event website's exhibitor directory can be renamed Stand in each language. Coming soon: linking each staff pass to its stand.
