Session Ticket

Some things can only take so many people at once: a workshop with twelve benches, a guided tour, a masterclass that runs every Tuesday. A session ticket sells each date and time as its own slot with its own capacity, so the 10am workshop can sell out while the 2pm one still has room. Sessions can repeat on chosen weekdays, skip excluded dates and pause themselves when no one has booked, which suits training calendars and recurring classes as much as one-off events.

US attractions and museums call the same thing a timed-entry ticket, and training providers talk about course dates or class slots. A session ticket is a different job from a breakout session, where delegates pick talks and workshops from the agenda inside one conference booking.

The standard PDF ticket prints the booked date and time, while the confirmation email and its calendar file still show the event's dates. Sessions chosen from a conference agenda use session booking instead, with a capacity on each and a scan at its door.
