Conditional Logic

Conditional logic keeps a registration form short for everyone. The gala dinner question appears only for people whose pass includes the dinner; the dietary question appears only for those who said they are eating; a student is asked for their university and nobody else is. The alternative is one enormous form full of notes saying "skip this if", or several forms and the hope that people find the right one.

Form builders in both markets say conditional logic, survey tools say branching or skip logic, and requests for proposals ask for show and hide rules by ticket or attendee type. The simplest version shows or hides a single question. Fuller versions skip whole pages, change prices or send people to different confirmation emails.

For now, eventcloud gives each ticket group its own form, so every audience is asked only what applies to it, and long forms split into pages. Coming soon: show and hide rules.
