Group Rate
A group rate rewards the person who brings colleagues. The price per ticket drops as the order grows, for example one price for a single pass, a lower one from 5 and lower again from 10, and usually every ticket in the order is charged at the band it reaches. It suits companies sending a team, universities sending a cohort and associations sending a delegation, and unlike a discount code it needs no chasing: anyone booking five or more sees the lower price straight away.
UK organisers say group rate or group discount; US platforms add volume pricing, bulk discounts and tiered group pricing. A group rate is about the size of one order. That makes it different from a group booking, where one person registers others, and from member or corporate rates, which depend on who is buying rather than how many.
Any paid price in eventcloud can carry up to six group rates, starting anywhere from 2 to 99 tickets, and the rate covers every ticket of that pass in the order; the dashboard calls them Volume Rates. Buyers see the bands and their running total before they pay.
